Fashion Nights // Chanel Cruise Collection 2014/15

Mille ospiti e una location super esclusiva, una città a me molto cara che entra di diritto tra le capitali della moda, per una strepitosa collezione: Karl Lagerfeld ha scelto Dubai e precisamente The Island, un'isola privata a largo della costa Jumeira e perla degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, per presentare ufficialmente la nuova Cruise Collection 2014/15.

Realizzati in tessuti leggeri e avvolgenti, nei colori dal tipico oro al blu, verde e rosso e con delle fantasie che ricordano piastrelle moresche e camelie, i capi che hanno sfilato sono stati ampi pantaloni, giacche dal pattern tipico del copricapo tradizionale arabo, tute, lunghi abiti e gonne a mosaico: tutti impreziositi da ricami luminosi e preziosi accessori dorati. A completare l'atmosfera da mille e una notte sono state le acconciature voluminose, il make-up che ha illuminato gli occhi con un nerissimo kajal e l'emblema a forma di luna su tutte le acconciature. Insomma, una vera fusione della moda attuale con una cultura araba sempre più interessata e al tempo stesso protagonista del fashion system. One thousand guests and an exclusive location, a beloved city of mine which join in by right the fashion capitals, for an amazing collection: Karl Lagerfeld chose Dubai and exactly The Island, an island on the Jumeira's coast and pearl of the United Arab Emirates, to officially present the new Cruise Collection 2014/15. Made of light and close-fitting fabrics, in colors from gold to blue, green and red and with patters which remind Moorish tiles and camellias, the showed clothes were harem pants, ghutra-pattern-inspired jackets, sheer jumpsuits, long dresses and  mosaiced skirts: they all were embellished by shiny embroideries and precious golden accessories. The million-and-one nights atmosphere was completed by voluminous hair-styles, the make-up which lighted up eyes with a black kajal and the moon-shaped emblem on each hair-style. So, it was a real fusion of today's fashion with an arabic culture always more fashinated and, at the same time, protagonist of the fashion system.
